Correct wrong facts in AI answers

Guide
Old factOutdated claimCorrected factCurrent, verified claim

Engines repeat what they read. To correct a wrong answer, fix the source it came from.

Capture the error

Record the question, the engine, the date and the exact wrong claim. Screenshot the answer and any sources it cites.

Trace the source

Look at the sources the engine cites, and search for the wrong claim yourself. It usually comes from an old page of yours, a directory listing or a third-party article.

Fix it at the source

Correct your own pages first. For other sites, contact the owner with evidence and a precise correction. Publish the correct fact clearly on your own site as well.

Re-test

Run the same question again after a few weeks. Engines with live search change sooner than others. Keep checking, because errors can return.

What you cannot do

You cannot edit a model directly. The work is to fix and strengthen the sources engines read.
